                                        Heavenly Bliss

After a month long joyful holidays, here I m back with my new painting done for Paint & Draw Together Challenge # 30 ( http://paintanddrawtogether.blogspot.com/). The image was very interesting & it was a real challenge to make the right effects of sky with sunlight coming out of dark clouds. I hope that I have done justice to the real image.

Below are the images for the other two which are now framed. Hope to create more artworks in bigger size later on:)

Pritisha's sketch

Finally its the finished look of my sketch. After reworking & adding few more details to the eyes & added more depth to the colors I think it's much better now. What  do you have to say about it now?

So this is the final look of my daughter's sketch. After looking at the scanned image now, somehow I feel that  still little more work needs to be done on it. What do you have to say about it?

Pritisha's sketch

Today I wanted to make something really interesting; this is the picture of my darling daughter & its one of my favorite picture's. It was taken (by Rajesh Rajan, the leading professional photographer) two yrs back when she was only 2-yrs old during her 1st performance in a fancy dress show, so I decided to work on it.

The initial pencil sketch, although I have made some changes & now a lot of work needs to be done. I am using pencil colors for the picture.

I think that I need to work more on the features. I am really enjoying making this while my daughter is more excited and wants me to complete it fast or else she is ready to fill the colors with her crayons :p....

On a crafty day

My small little artists wanted to make something best out of waste, so we used empty tissue paper rolls for making these beautiful butterfly pencil holders & decorative owl. It was really fun to make all these, very easy & simple art & craft project for kids of any age group. Here are some tips for making these.............

Material used : Empty tissue paper rolls, colored construction sheets, small round cardboard (for the base of pencil holder), colored marker pens, glue stick.

Cover the roll with colored paper & glue it properly then make face & body of butterfly as shown in picture, attach the base round cardboard for the holder then fold another colored construction paper & cut butterfly wings shape. Decorate wings with different color pens (you can even stick some sequins & beads) or any other innovative way you like. Now you can stick the wings at the back with glue.

For decorative owl we covered the roll with construction sheet then turn the top from both sides to the center & secure it with a tape to form a shape as shown in the picture below. After that you can make the features of owl. use & small cardboard for & stick it in the base, cut small claws & stick it at the bottom.

Tulips

I got a beautiful image of Tulips Spring challenge, shared by an amazing artist Jeanette Jobson. I have been working throughout the day on the image & just love making Tulips & it was really interesting playing around with the image. Here is the out come which I would like to share. I used Derwent pastels pencils for the colored portion & graphite shading pencils for the flowers left uncoloured
